Love Byeland: the finale | River Online

Sunday night saw the finale of the Winter Love Island, and like always, it was such a bittersweet feeling. We’ve spent the last six weeks emotionally invested in these stranger’s relationships, more so than our own, and we’re acting as though we’re best pals with the contestants. Now, we’re back to our mundane lives wondering what Paige and Finn are getting up to, whether Luke T and Luke M have spoken today and whether Siânnise is feeling 100 per cent.

Nicholas Cage’s Color Out Of Space needs pigment of imagination “Do you know how much those animals cost us? They are alpacas! Color Out Of Space is a film adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s short science fiction horror novel of the same name – a cosmic tale so famous that horror writer Stephen King took inspiration for one of his books.

We’re now two weeks into Love Island, and it’s pretty much been the same as every other series thus far, with a little less drama. I miss the days when Love Island used to have a relatively relatable cast rather than celebrity cast-offs like Lewis Capaldi’s ex and Rochelle Humes’ sister. Yet, it’s still not stopping me from cancelling all my 9pm plans, whacking on my pyjamas and watching the show with a cuppa tea every single evening.

7 West End shows to look out for in 2020 | River Online

This past year has been both a blessing and a curse for theatre. The blessings being some incredible new additions such as Waitress and Dear Evan Hansen straight from New York’s Broadway. Come From Away continued to make audiences cry night after night, while longest-running musical, Les Miserables, had a sell-out all-star staged concert. Whereas the film adaptation of Cats was a complete curse on the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical. Now that’s an image The River will never forget.
